OUR KNOWLEDGE BASE
years of experience
areas of expertise
Since its inception in 1997, our company has operated with a keen desire to upkeep its reputation of excellency in craftsmanship, especially as an official supplier to the prestigious cavalry regiment of the French Republican Guard.
Since then, the company has steadily developed and grown, especially thanks to an approach based on maintaining, teaching and improving the know-how and skills of each of its employees. At our company, training is continuous and it aims to provide the versatility required to satisfy all possible client demands.
We are far more than simply saddlers, shoemakers, upholsterers, designers or leathermakers; we are all of these at once.
The vision
Our vision is ambitious: we believe in locally manufactured, socially and environmentally responsible, and financially affordable craftsmanship.
Our belief isn’t only in maintaining and passing on the key skillsets of our trades. We also believe that favouring repairs and restoration work whenever possible is an ethical approach which helps us generate as little waste as possible, and understand how to reduce our environmental impact in as many other ways as we can.
Our goal is to show that it is entirely possible to sell and provide locally-owned services and locally-made products at market value without it costing a premium, whilst still being beneficial to consumers and citizens.
Our business model is that of using a careful, step-by-step approach to achieve ambitious growth targets and export our products successfully without having to sacrifice our beliefs or make customers pay a premium for them.

Taking responsibilities and actually living by my values.”
If I were asked what the key to understanding my path is, that is what I’d answer.
As a teenager, I was very involved with competitive sports and student councils. Once I had graduated from business school, I turned to international IT companies for the first phase of my career. It’s there that I was able to learn well-known methodologies, to take on responsibilities fast, and to work internationally.
I am lucky enough to be part of a generation of women who have shed their inferiority complex, and that is what helped me choose craftsmanship as the next step in my career. I learnt the trade of saddle-fitting, which I practiced in the US before understanding that I wanted to acquire and lead a company of my own. I came back to France in July 2024 to buy the gem which I had found: the Atelier du Bourrelier from its founder Michel Boissière.
My professional path has allowed me to build the skillset that a woman business owner needs if she wants to put her money where her mouth is. Every day at our company is about living with social and environmental responsibility; about the prime importance of passing on the skills of our trades and crafts; and about encouraging initiative-taking, work accomplished with pride, and the constant pursuit of excellency.
“Taking responsibilities and living by my values” now means giving my company, my employees, our clients and our business partners my all.
